Aphex Twin – Sick Cyber Monday Merch
The cult musician/marketing mutant is touting creepy ‘Donkey Rhubarb’ teddy bears, trippy tops and gas masks. ‘Come to daddy.’
Our fave virtuoso Aphex Twin is peddling some next-level and narcotic merch this Cyber Monday. Predictably manic and magical, the merch shows the creative capitalist in a state of grace feeding on, tripping over, and wallowing in the wacky-cool-warped sonic subculture he ingeniously conjured.
Alongside the staple stuff – t-shirts, hoodies, scarves and printed towels – there are Aphex face masks, babygros, umbrellas, and random knickknacks emblazoned with the artist’s iconic logo. But the coolest bits in the assortment are the the creepy-cute bears from his “Donkey Rhubarb” video and the Antifa-style noir respiratory masks. Waaaa .
The merch started turning over this morning around 7AM London time at Bleep X. Lines to get in were long and the buzz around the product mix is palpable. These are all lovely limited edition xmas gems, but don’t expect them to be available for more than a few hours. From December 1, goodies will also be peddled via Tokyo’s Joint-Harajuku. Go here now to buy some online.
