Hear Death Grips’ savage, sonically raw new 11-minute song
The ‘electronic drum solo’ is extracted from the noise outfit’s promo tour vid. Fuckin’ fierce.
In cahoots with Ministry and on tour now, experimental discord band Death Grips have released a new, nail-biting track on Facebook. “People have been asking about the audio from our 2k17 tour promo video so here is the original version in its entirety,” they said on social media.
The titillating track is an electronic drum solo performed by Zach Hill and impressively recorded in a single take. It comes in the wake of an announcement earlier this year that the band is working on a follow-up to their innervating 2016 album Bottomless Pit. The glitch-fuck noise-makers are collaborating with Australian artist Lucas Abela, known for shredding glass on his face (below) to generate cryptic, Delphian sounds.
Hill and Andy Morin‘s other project, The I.L.Y’s, released their third album Bodyguard back in May. The experimental band also recently released a hardcore, heavy-hitting 22-minute piece of music called “Steroids (Crouching Tiger Hidden Gabber Megamix).”
