HELMUT LANG: ARTIFACTS
Resurrection Vintage, a posh second-hand fashion peddler, is selling Helmut Lang objet d’art soon.
Helmut Lang pioneered luxe minimalism in the 90s (along with Jil Sander, Prada, and Calvin Klein). The designer focused on razor sharp suits and structured trousers, with references to the kinkier side of fashion via bondage styles or erotic harnesses worn over sportswear. His avant-garde suits, and later his insanely popular jeans, became orthodox attire for style aficionados and people in the creative industries. In a project called HELMUT LANG: ARTIFACTS, Resurrection Vintage will be showcasing a rare range of the designer’s 90s-era trophies. Resurrection, which has locations in NYC and LA, is selling some of the designer’s most iconic looks — like the metallic-finish flash top and trousers that opened his AW94 show — along with bags, accessories and wonderful one-offs.
HELMUT LANG: ARTIFACTS will be in-store and online at Resurrection Vintage starting on November 15, 2016
