Kanye West + Candace Owens ❤
Kanye West professes ‘love’ for Donald Trump, criticizes Obama, and gives a shout-out to sexy siren Candace Owens.
This weekend yapper rapper Kanye West professed his “love” for President Trump and complained that he “couldn’t get anything done” with ex-Pres Obama, according to a Hot 97 radio show — the hip-hop channel that aired the now viral Q&A. Kanye expressed his support for conservative rabble-rouser and Black Lives Matter (BLM) critic Candace Owens on Twitter. “I love the way Candace Owens thinks,” West tweeted over the weekend (he obviously has a little crush on the outspoken sexpot. We do too!). The unexpected post followed a lengthy string of the usual pseudo-philosophical one-liners and pop psychological platitudes, including “all you have to be is yourself”, “images are limitless and words aren’t” and, “strive for universal consciousness,” etc.
Owens has been criticized for her emphatic support of President Trump and for railing against the progressive left. West took on groupthink and identity politics in his social media feed, adding, “[W]e have freedom of speech but not freedom of thought.” West said he liked Owens because “she’s challenging conventional black thought” and “questions status quo cultural commentary.” He also expressed love for President Trump, explaining that he had “reached out to Obama for years and couldn’t get anything done, but Trump gave me a meeting.”
Obama famously called West a “jackass” during an interview, and reportedly doubled down on that snub later. Kanye‘s comments are significant not because he endorsed any conservative views, but because he demonstrated a tolerance for hearing a different point of view and tuning in to something more rational than the gibberish of the cynical left. He challenged the ‘thought mob’ and their agenda to muffle rational debate and open discourse. That’s excellent news since there’s nothing scarier to an irate leftist than a free and rational thinker — especially a pop cultural freak like Ye.
The Atlanta-born rapper has a history of provocative and slightly insane statements. West famously said that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” in the wake of 2005’s devastating Hurricane Katrina. In 2016, West told a California crowd at a concert that he would have voted for Trump. “I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? What I didn’t tell you…if I were to have voted I would have voted on Trump,” West said. “That don’t mean that I don’t think that Black Lives Matter, that I don’t mean that I don’t think I believe in women’s rights…because that was the guy I would’ve voted for.” Haha. Anyway, go Ye! And watch out, Kim — Candace is a real enchantress! Listen to the bit that triggered Kanye’s spontaneous shout-out.
