Helmut Lang made next-level, holy fucking cool fashion back in the day. The Austrian badass is responsible for one of fashion’s most influential brands — his singular aesthetic came to define the post-grunge, anti-luxury aesthetic of the 90’s. But after pioneering minimalist masterpieces, dope denim, and haute-tech get-ups, Helmut got bored of the fashion game and started making cryptic-weird art.
In this limited series, Herr Lang explores repurposed materials — tar-coated sheepskin, wood, paper arrangements, freaky pigments, grid systems, resin, wax and artistic oddness. Cool! Check it out.
