Tiananmen Square – 天安門廣場 – Never Forget!
A Shining Light – June 4th in Hong Kong.
Hong Kongers looked on in solidarity when student-led pro-democracy demonstrators took to Tiananmen Square in Beijing thirty-one years ago. But hope turned to horror as the PLA infantry unleashed a barrage of machine gun bullets on the activists, terrifying Hong Kongers from afar, which the Brits had stupidly agreed to cede to commie control back in 1984.
A candle-lit vigil is held annually without fail on June 4th to commemorate the victims. Attendance is usually voluminous — often hundreds of thousands of people gather in Victoria Park and surrounding hoods throughout the SAR to pay respect to the fallen demonstrators.
But this year the police have banned the event because of its ‘subversive nature’ and to ‘reduce super-spreaders’ of the CPC Wuhan Virus, China’s most infectious export. At the behest of Beijing, HK police have deployed thousands of officers on the streets to deter protesters and silence renegade voices who are critical of the ‘Butchers of Tiananmen’, a.k.a. the CCP politburo.
The authorities are intent on squelching dissenters and smothering the tribute. Citing social-distancing restrictions and ‘health concerns’, the commies have made clear that demonstrations must be countered. But HK’s liberty-loving compatriots are out and about making their voices heard and paying homage to the victims of 1989, who were massacred by CPC storm troopers. Hong Kongers are also venting anger at the Legislative Council’s insane bill making it a crime to mock China’s cheesy national anthem.
Anyway, denizens of the SAR are livid over the mainland’s ongoing Orwellian encroachment and the new national-security law designed to muzzle freedoms of speech, assembly and expression. Hong Kongers have produced a beautiful, candle-lit aurora borealis across the city to symbolize their respect for civil liberties/self-determination and to solemnize the thousands of slayed students.
Blasting pheromones of freedom and fury, HKers showed up in droves in places like Causeway Bay and Mong Kok to defy the ban on mass gatherings imposed by the brutes up north. Pepper spray and batons were used against them.
Back in anarchic America where race riots are hip and looting is cool, anti-CPC defectors have enacted the ‘Federal State of New China’ (FSNC) comprised of enlightened, pro-freedom/pro-capitalist Chinese transplants like Wang Dan, Guo Wengui, Xia Yeliang, Ge Lifang and Chen Guangcheng who are infuriating the CPC by flying provocative plane formations over the PRC consulate in NYC with banners promoting the FSNC and commemorating the Tiananmen Square massacre.
Across the pond in London, jolly old Boris Johnson has offered refuge and British citizenship for nearly 3 million Hong Kongers who want to skedaddle — a very cheeky British way of saying ‘Fuck You’ to China’s ugly autocrats! Rot in hell, CPC! Your days are numbered! Read about the ‘Butcher of Beijing‘, Li Peng – 李鹏, and his criminal cronies here.
