Kanye West always strives for scale and style. For his Saint Pablo tour, which kicked off last night at the Indianapolis’ Bankers Life Fieldhouse, he opened the performance atop a suspended stage hovering over hordes of feverish fans. Kanye’s pal and artistic collaborator, Virgil Abloh, characterized the set design as “insane” with an impeccable aesthetic and unprecedented scale. Throughout the performance, the platform would drift over the audience and throughout the venue. He played a 31-track set that mostly consisted of his latest album The Life of Pablo, though he still played ditties like “All Falls Down” and “Jesus Walks”, as well as Drake’s “Pop Style.” It’s breezy for Yeezy!
