Lady Gaga has been chastised for wearing Gestapo-esque garments at a rally in NYC
Lady Gaga has been accused of sporting Gestapo-esque garb as she made a last ditch attempt to help Hillary Clinton at a rally in NYC. Brandishing a black military jacket reminiscent of Nazi gear complete with a red armband and authoritarian-looking insignia, the avant-garde artist pounded the podium while delivering a despotic and dogmatic spiel, ironically mimicking the unnerving oratory style of Adolf Hitler. At one point, Gaga declared “Hillary Clinton is made of steel. Hillary Clinton is unstoppable.” (Um, notice Hillary‘s blood red Mao Suit.) The alarming imagery went viral, of course, and rags like Huffington Post, Cosmo, and ET were quick to defend the totalitarian-sounding songstress, pointing out that the Nazi-looking duds once belonged to the King of Pop himself, who sported the ensemble when he visited the White House back in the 90s. Even more ironic is the fact that Michael Jackson admitted he had a penchant for Nazi uniforms and totalitarian tailoring. Anyway, we love Lady Gaga unconditionally. She was probably just attempting to channel a strong, authoritative image of the wearied leader she adores so much.
