Chastising China – Banksy
Banksy is the sassy street artist, vandal, activist, and auteur who surfaces every so often to sling subversive, politically-charged scribbles/murals around Bristol, London, etc. Reminding us that we are all stuck in the psychotic, zoonotic, virally-toxic year of the RAT, the graffiti sniper just set his artistic sights on communist China…or so it seems.
In this grody, super-inauspicious year of the RAT (thanks, China — twats!) marked by commie China’s deliberate weaponization/propagation of the Wuhan Virus (a.k.a. COVID-19), UK-Sino relations have soured BIGLY. What the hell happened? Well, China flagrantly violated the 1984 Joint Declaration (read about it here!), calling GB a “has been power.” China has turned Hong Kong — the multicultural entrepôt between east and west, initially colonized and cultivated by swashbuckling Victorians — into an annoying postmodern surveillance state.
China has infiltrated the UK’s telcos networks, sabotaging Britains’ 5G roll-out plans at great expense (“No way, Huawei!”), impinging personal liberties and throttling Anglo institutions. And China has stolen bucketloads of Britain’s IP while posing threats to the UK’s defense sector and various businesses/trading desks in the City. China’s ornery ambassador to the UK, Liu Xiaoming – 刘晓明, said, “If you want to make China a hostile country, you have to bear the consequences.” Please.
Basically, China has run roughshod over Great Britain and continues to do so. Consequently, Banksy set his graphic cannons on the totalitarian rodents, hitting the London Underground with new Wuhan Virus-themed art. His rascally rats journeyed from the Middle Kingdom to Banksy’s bathroom and have now infested/infected the London Underground.
His pieces include a rat sneezing a gross gush of teal droplets across the carriage wall, two more rats deploying medical masks as parachutes, and another doing its own graffiti (which reads “Banksy”) while ‘hanging’ from the tube rails and contaminating commuters. The artist also left fun notes, saying, “I get lockdown…but I get up again” — to the tune of Chumbawamba’s upbeat ‘Tubthumping.’
The cheeky vandal shared the vid on his social media with the caption, “If you don’t mask — you don’t get.” Anyway, it’s nice to see British artists standing up to the Chinese CPC slimeballz trying to reshape the UK in the PRC’s image. Fuk dat! And fuk da year of da RAT! Peep it…
