The PRC tries to punk the world with its spiffy nukes, 3D-printed ordinance and ‘smart munitions.’ Fakers!
China’s super self-aggrandizing military parade this week was a cavalcade of wannabe weaponry and knockoff hardware — the usual Sino subterfuge and replica kit meant to menace the world’s sole superpower, galvanize party pawns and intimidate regional rivals. It was sort of silly and mostly hype.
Communist China is the world’s deftest con artist, biggest counterfeiter and cockiest kleptocrat. Like all totalitarian slave-drivers, China’s big cheeses love to play mind tricks on its Pavlovian-conditioned subjects and ‘shanghai’ the hell out of geo-strategic and economic rivals. This week’s 70th anniversary of the CPC was the perfect occasion to showcase the PLA’s sleek decoys and Potemkin props to fake out battlefield opponents and gin up Middle Kingdom flag-waving. It prompted plenty of scrutiny from the world’s most seasoned spooks and espionage pros, who are all saying the chest-puffing spectacle amounts to ‘dragon-style phoney baloney‘ and ‘self-righteous posturing.’
Yep, America’s DIA and Britain’s DMI (along with the rest of the FVEY), have already assessed China’s ‘lethal firepower’ and next-gen battle rattle via satellite surveillance, hi-res photos and in-theater HUMINT. The intel is telling: it’s mostly a junk heap of 3D-printed, American-style replicas that look tough in Tiananmen Square/The Forbidden City but trifling on the battlefield. Hollywood makes similar props for action-thriller flicks like Mission: Impossible and Transformers.
China’s combat kit is basically the Jussie Smollett of weaponry — what the Rand Corp calls “a paper tiger masquerading as Megatron” and what Stratfor dubs “seriously over-hyped optics.” It really resembles Uncle Sam’s deadliest heat, but we all know that Chinese hackers lifted the schematics from the likes of Boeing, General Dynamics, Ratheon and BAE without full mastery of the engineering and avionics. And Chinese munitions makers like AVIC and CNNC — the firms that courted Hunter Biden along with Gemini and BHR (sketchball Chinese investment funds) to peddle influence during the Obama admin — merely copy-pasted the purloined IP without real-life stress-testing or combat simulation (the ‘Djibouti Support Base’ doesn’t count nor does ‘peacekeeping’ in South Sudan).
As trouble flared down south in Hong Kong’s S.A.R. and celebrations got heavily overshadowed by anti-mainland seditionaries, the parade culminated in Peking with a blinged-out display of 15,000 goose-stepping ‘grunts’, an eye-popping arsenal of ballistic missiles and some fresh tactical ass: the DF-5B (an inferior copy of America’s Trident II), the JL-2 (an American-style UGM-27 Polaris missile), the DF-31AG (a land-based mobile missile — also lifted from NATO’s arsenal), the DF-41 intercontinental ballistic missile (the big dog ICBM design stolen from America and its allies) and futuristic, totally fudged DF-17 hypersonic glide vehicles, stealth attack drones (they look exactly like the U.S. Navy’s X-47B attack drone), electronic warfare gear and ‘state-of-the-art’ deterrence tools.
Like a Madame Tussauds waxwork of the Terminator or a Peking Opera set, it’s all just window dressing and hi-tech veneer. Sure, some of the PLA’s cloned firepower can pack a hefty punch, but not enough to tip the balance of power regionally or globally. Chinese stormtroopers, by the way, can barely do 15 pull-ups (on average) and are plagued with severe asthma due to the PRC’s totally toxic particulate matter and noxious aerosols. They also have ZERO combat experience — not exactly a lethal lot for a ‘mighty rising military.’
Although China’s arsenal looks hard up and teched-out, it ain’t all that (we do acknowledge that China’s stolen nuke technology in the form of the DF-41 is the real deal. If utilized, however, it would be the end of China courtesy of America’s USSTRATCOM). The CPC is just sensationalizing and grandstanding its ‘guts and glory’ narrative with some snazzy sci-fi artifice and bombastic big talk. The commies in charge there aim to scare and shock the West and would-be foes (Taiwan, Japan, India, etc.) — but we all know they are fronting hard like Adam Schiff and his merry band of do-nothing Dems.
However, free nations of the world — especially America — must check China and rein in that country’s mushrooming megalomania. The China menace is morphing in a disputatious direction as the commies attempt to wage a multi-front war on America’s economy, military, diplomacy, technology, education, and infrastructure — and it is high time to contain the Reds and quell their hubris.
But all that futuristic-looking ‘ass’ exhibited along Chang’an Avenue/Avenue of Eternal Peace the other day was just Sino swagger and dragon puffery. Red China doesn’t want to risk an existential kinetic war with the world’s advanced powers (a war it would certainly lose) and undermine the hands that feed and furnish it. That is why Chairman Xi is standing down in Hong Kong and that is the reason the Chinese trade delegation will kowtow before the USTR and the Golden Golem of Greatness next week.
