Travi$ Scott drops ‘Days Before Birds’ album outta’ nowhere…And then retracts it
Hardcore Houston trap king Travi$ Scott – AKA La Flame – just sucker punched us with a 10-track album. Titled ‘Days Before Birds’ – the follow-up to last year’s ‘Rodeo,’ the shock and awe album contains collabs from André 3000, the Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Young Thug, Migos’ Quavo (‘Pick Up the Phone’), Kid Cudi, 21 Savage, and more. Cassie and Swizz Beatz are the featured vocalists, and Nick Knight, who directed Kanye West’s ‘Bound 2’ and ‘BLKKK SKKKN HEAD’, did the visuals. Championed by hip hop’s reigning bigwigs and usually decked out in decent streetwear ensembles, Travi$ is moving at a hyper-fast clip. And then…the whole thing got nixed. “This is an unauthorized release that was not approved by Travi$,” said his PR. “We are in the process of getting it all taken down. We are requesting that all media outlets remove the material.” The rep also said that they have no idea how the project appeared on so many platforms, including Apple Music, which had exclusive rights to his ‘Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight.’ Rumors are swirling that the album got hacked or even sabotaged. Right after the music was released, Travi$ tweeted “Fake album wtf!!” Yeah, WTF?!
